Elwin P. Wade was born April 8, 1919 near Wellman, Iowa the son of William and Bertha (Tracey) Wade. He served in the Army during WWII. He was a member of the Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, American Legion and the VFW. He was a past Assistant Fire Chief in Wellman. He owned and operated a Ford Dealership in Wellman for a number of years. Elwin died on Monday, March 27, 2006 at his home in Mesa, Arizona following a lengthy illness at the age of 86 years. Elwin is survived by his wife Irene of Mesa, Arizona; a daughter - B. J. Beck of Phoenix, Arizona; 3 sons - William Wade of Davenport; Jeff Wade of Eldon, Missouri; Wesley Wade of Glendora, California; and a brother Lyle Wade of Wellman. He was preceded in death by his his first wife Loise; a sister - Wilna; and 3 brothers - Lynn, Olin and Duane.
