Michael Ray Moyer was born on September 10, 1962 in Marengo, IA, the son of Dean M. And Velma K. Bauer Moyer. He grew up in Millersburg and graduated from Deep River-Millersburg High School in 1980. Michael had worked at Shellar-Globe and Waste Management in Iowa City and currently worked in housekeeping at the University of Iowa. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and drag racing, where he sometimes helped in the pit areas. Michael died suddenly on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at his home in Iowa City. He lived 43 years, 6 months and 26 days. Surviving are six brothers: William Moyer and Ron Moyer both of Millersburg, IA; Kevin Moyer and Paul Moyer both of Iowa City, IA; Larry Moyer of Sioux City, IA; and Jacob Moyer of South English, IA. Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
