Mary Elizabeth Yoder was born January 30, 1929 in Kalona, Iowa the daughter of Cyrus and Dinah (Miller) Miller. On July 17, 1947 she was united in marriage to Marvin C. Yoder in Bettendorf. They have lived in the West Chester community since 1954. Mary was a member of the West Chester United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting, cooking and reading. Mary died on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at the Halcyon House in Washington following a brief illness at the age of 77 years.
Mary is survived her husband Marvin of West Chester; two sons - Richard and wife Lorna of Boulder, Colorado; Ronald and wife Debbie of Casper, Wyoming; two daughters - Carla Brunk of West Chester; Carmen Woods and husband Chris of Washington; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three sisters - Eldora Flatt and husband Alvin of Newberry, Michigan; Elnora Borntrager and husband Dave of Springlake Park, Minnesota; Veva Hershberger and husband Mel of Kalona; and two brothers - Dale Miller and wife Linda and Alvin Miller and wife Marianna of Kalona. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law Phil Brunk, and a sister Donna Belle Biggerstaff. |
