Williamsburg–Frances Parker was born November 5, 1916 in Delta, Iowa, the daughter of Adam and Dora (Tygart) Wiseman. She graduated from Sigourney High School and the University of Iowa with a BA in Elementary Education. Frances taught school for a number of years. Frances was united in marriage to George S. Parker on March 23, 1951 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Frances died Sunday, October 11, 2009 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City at the age of 92 years.
Graveside services will be 10:00 am Friday, October 16, 2009 at the Genoa Bluff Cemetery near Ladora, Iowa. Pastor Kirk Statler will officiate. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Services are handling services. Messages and tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com under obituaries.
