SIGOURNEY-Charles Keith Beinhart, age 85, of Sigourney, died Monday, April 23, 2012, at the Keokuk County Health Center. Keith was born December 10, 1926 in rural Harper to Carl and Loretta (Clarahan) Beinhart and received his education in St. Elizabeth’s Catholic School. On September 28, 1950, he married Isabelle Sieren at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Clear Creek Township. Keith served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. A lifelong farmer, he lived in the Harper and Sigourney communities his entire life except when he was in the military. Keith was a member of the American Legion Post #19 and a past member of Farm Bureau. Survivors include five children: Roger (Molly) Beinhart of Keota, Rhonda Beinhart of Sigourney, Murray (Connie) Beinhart of Bloomfield, Brenda (Chris) Frazier of DeWitt and Marcia Beinhart of Sigourney; 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; one brother: Robert J. Beinhart of Harper and one sister: Betty Adam of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Isabelle; son: Bruce Beinhart and five sisters: Theola Beinhart, Helen Pence, Claudine Flander, Burnita Sieren and Bernadine Sieren. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Powell Funeral Home in Sigourney with Rev. Charles Fladung officiating. Burial of cremated remains will be at Holy Trinity Cemeteries - St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Harper. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Powell Funeral Home in Sigourney. A general memorial fund has been established.
