Lorena Dorothy Redlinger was born September 9, 1912 in Keota, Iowa. The daughter of Paul and Margaret (Buch) Peiffer. Lorena was united in marriage December 7, 1940 in Ft. Madison, Iowa to Rosemond C. Redlinger. She was a homemaker and she lived in the same home all of her life before moving to Maplewood Manor. Lorena enjoyed taking care of her home, yard and garden. Lorena and her husband loved to dance, and play cards. She was a foster grandma to many. Lorena was the Grand Marshal at Keota days this year. She was a member the Holy Trinity Parish St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Alter and Rosary Society. Lorena passed away on Monday, August 13, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City at the age of 99 years.
She is survived by her son Thomas (Peg) Redlinger of Keota. Lorena was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers; Edward and Elmer Peiffer, four sisters; Bertha Adam, Veronica Shannon, Margaret Shannon, and Pauline Linnenkamp.
