Amanda J Hochstedler

Kalona- Amanda J. Hochstedler was born on February 4, 1934 in Arthur, Illinois. The daughter of John G. and Lena (Mast) Hochstedler. In her youth she accepted Christ and was a faithful member of the Old Order Amish Church. Amanda died on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the University Hospital in Iowa City at the age of 87 years 9 months 9 days.

Amanda is survived by 6 nieces, 6 nephews and a host of grand nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, John in 1992 and Lena in 2002; two brothers: Omer Hochstedler in 2007 and Henry Hochstedler in 2007, 4 sisters: Matie Hochstedler in 2021, Annie (Mrs John) Gingerich in 2014, Alta Hochstedler in 2016 and Fannie Hochstedler in 2018; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law.


Funeral Service will be held 9:30 am Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the Paul Beachy Residence 1069 Maple Ave, Kalona. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, November 15, 2021 at the Paul Beachy Residence. Burial will be held in the South Gingerich Cemetery.
