Amanda Lee

Amanda Jo Lee, 29, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, IA, died unexpectedly Friday, May 28, 2010 at her home. Miss Lee's body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 5th at 10:00 a.m. at the Olson - Powell Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to and after the service. Memorials in Amanda's memory may be directed to the family. Born February 11, 1981, in Mt. Pleasant, IA, Amanda Jo was the daughter of Bradley S. and Martha L. Newman Lee. She was a 1999 graduate of Mt. Pleasant Community High School. Amanda moved to Cedar Rapids after graduating from high school. She received her A.A. degree from Kirkwood Community College. She also attended the University of Iowa for one year. Amanda was a member of the Army Reserves and was enrolled in EMT training. She worked part time at Kentucky Fried Chicken while attending college. Amanda loved learning, reading and spending time with her friends. Survivors include her mother, Martha Lee; her father, Bradley Lee; a daughter, Macy Lee; and a sister, Christine Lee Love all of Mt. Pleasant, IA. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
