Williamsburg- Anthony Louis Taylor, was born September 9, 1991 in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Mark and Melinda Iburg Taylor. He graduated from Williamsburg High School in 2010, and was a student at Upper Iowa University, Fayette. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Williamsburg. While in high school he was involved in drama, speech, FFA, golf and football. He enjoyed floating down the river, participating in parades with his friends, riding his golf cart, going to Pancheros and IHOP, and spending time with his family and girlfriend Kirsten. Anthony died on Thursday, July 14, 2011, at his home at the age of 19 years. He is survived by his parents: Mark Taylor of Williamsburg and Melinda Taylor of Perry, Missouri; 2 sisters Ashley Taylor of Cedar Rapids and Amanda Taylor of Marengo; his girlfriend Kirsten Burgy of Conroy; and his maternal grandparents Louis & Leora Iburg of Center, Missouri and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Jim & Rosemary Taylor; a cousin Marsha Taylor and an uncle Paul Iburg. Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, July 18, 2011, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Williamsburg, with Rev. Carl Cloeter officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Parnell. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4-8 PM at the Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg. A general memorial fund has been established.
