Bennie Jo Schropp

Parnell- Bennie Jo Schropp was born January 7, 1954, in North Carolina, the daughter of Richard Thomas Robinson. She graduated high school in 1972, in North Carolina. After graduation, she entered the United States Army. On December 6, 1975, Bennie was united in marriage to Lloyd Richard Schropp in Williamsburg, Iowa. They made their home in Parnell. While raising their children, she worked at Shellar Globe in Iowa City for many years and later as a CNA at Highland Ridge before retiring. Bennie enjoyed reading, golf cart rides, spending time in the shop with Lloyd, her dog Fred and spending time with her grandchildren. Bennie Jo died on Monday, August 31, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, at the age of 72 years.

She is survived by her children Kristy Schropp, Chad (Amanda Hudgens) Schropp and Zachary (Jade Kleine) Schropp all of Parnell; six grandchildren Draven, Raylea, Mason, Kaleb, Leo and Micah; two sisters Pam (Ricky) Brown and Lisa Langley all of Hamlet, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her father; her husband Lloyd in 2024; and two sisters Mille Faye Robinson and Toni Barcomb.
