Beulah Anna Lortz, 90, of Iowa City, formerly of Millersburg, Iowa passed away peacefully on July 2, 2021 .
Beulah was born on January 30, 1931 in North English, Iowa, the daughter of Bruce and Martha Wyant. She married Charles A Lortz on March 29, 1951. She enjoyed numerous years farming with her husband, including nurturing the calves and piglets, and raising 6 children before moving to Iowa City. She worked for the University of Iowa for over 30 years. Beulah was a very kind, hard working mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and sister. She was a very talented seamstress, gardener, and cook. After moving to Iowa City, Beulah and Charles especially enjoyed all the family gatherings while parking cars for the Iowa football games.
Survivors include her children Cynthia (Mike) Ewen, Davenport; Rebecca (Jim) Risdon, Marengo; Christine (Randy) Folkmann, Parnell; David (Elaine) Lortz, Iowa City; sister Iva Glandon, North English; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Deborah, son Jeffrey, grandson Jason and brothers Elmer, Henry and George.
Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 am on Monday, July 5, 2021 at Millersburg United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Millersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 9 am until service time at the church. Memorials may be made to the Millersburg Methodist Church or Sarah Risdon, For The Nations.
