Bonnie Scurr-Smith

WILLIAMSBURG-Bonnie L. Scurr-Smith, age 69, of Williamsburg, died Monday, August 22, 2022, at Rosehaven Nursing Home in Marengo.
Bonnie was born April 24, 1953, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, to Howard T. and Catherine L. (Sutter) Scurr.  She attended elementary school in Oskaloosa and graduated from Burlington High School.  Bonnie then graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.  She retired from Proctor and Gamble after 20 years of employment.  Bonnie was married to Ray “Jim” Smith for over 20 years before his passing.  They lived in North Liberty before moving to the Williamsburg area several years ago.  Bonnie was a member of the Red Hats and was an avid dog and horse lover.
Survivors include her brother: Robert (Louise) Scurr of Oswego, Illinois; sister: Le (Larry) Lucht of South Haven, Minnesota; step-son: Jimmie Smith of Des Moines and cousins: Nancy and Tim Kinney of Oxford.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Jim and brother: David J. Scurr.
