Bradley Brophy

North Liberty- Bradley Robert Brophy was born May 23, 1972, in Washington, Iowa. The son of Robert and Janelle (Miller) Brophy. He graduated from Mid-Prairie High School and the University of Iowa. On December 31, 2004, he was united in marriage to Robin Hanson in Iowa City. Bradley worked in IT Security. Bradley lived in Wellman, Chicago, and North Liberty. He enjoyed football, deep sea fishing, golfing, rugby, traveling, and was a good chef. Bradley passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at the age of 49.

Bradley is survived by his wife Robin of North Liberty; a son Gabi Hanson of Cedar Rapids; parents Robert and Janelle Brophy of Wellman; two sisters, Julie (Derek) Gordinier of Wellman and Jenn (Eric) Wulff of Mentor, Ohio; grandma Patricia Brophy of West Liberty; five nieces Addison Gordinier, Heathur Aanrud, Amanda Rieff, Samantha Rieff, and Christina Hunt; and five nephews, Riley Gordinier, Colin Wulff, Connor Wulff, Andrew Hunt and Derek Aanrud; four great nephews and one great niece; two dogs, Hawkeye and Zuzu.


A Celebration Of Life Memorial Service will be 3:00 pm Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3:00 pm Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home. A General Memorial fund has been established.
