Carol Sue Hilton

Marengo-Carol Sue Hilton was born on September 1, 1943, in Dysart, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Lily (Barta) Riexinger. She graduated from Dysart-Geneseo High School. Carol was united in marriage to Richard Hilton in 1962. To this union they were blessed with two children, they later divorced. Carol worked at Sunnycrest Nursing Center, was a waitress in Dysart and was a team leader at Whirlpool in Amana. Carol was a Master Gardner and enjoyed painting and genealogy. Carol died Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at her home in Marengo, at the age of 82 years.

She is survived by her children Lori Stratton of Ladora and Rance Hilton of Marengo; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Connie Schlotterback of Dysart. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant sister Cathy.
