Carol Jean Miller

Carol Jean Miller, age 80, loving mother and grandmother, died July 10, 2017. Memorial Services: 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 18, 2017, Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, Iowa. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 P.M. Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established.

Carol, a long time Marengo and Rose Haven Nursing Home resident was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Miller, and her parents. She is survived by her a son Jim Miller of Davenport and his sons Noah and Brady, and a daughter Maurine Miller and her son Harris.

Carol Jean Brown was born October 2, 1936 in Crawfordsville, Iowa, the daughter of Dwight and Myrtle Orris Brown. She graduated from City High in Iowa City and married Marvin M. Miller on October 2, 1960 in Iowa City. Carol and Marv eventually settled in Marengo where she was a longtime employee at Big G Food Store. She later was the manager of Cottontail Corner Day Care. Carol enjoyed her community and was the organizing force for the July 3 ^rd Parade for many years.
