Carolyn Mae Whaley, age 82, of Brooklyn, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Brooklyn Community Estates. Private family services will be at a later date. Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn is assisting the family with final arrangements.
Carolyn is survived by her children Susan (Doug) Ott, of Williamsburg, Teresa (Rodney) Tuttle, of Brooklyn and Sandra Langdon, of Wellman; eight grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; a step-grandson, and three step-great grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister Janis McNall of Colorado and a nephew, Kenneth Johnson of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack Whaley, a step-daughter Debbie Globik and a sister, JoAnn Allen.
Carolyn Roberts was born June 14, 1934, in Malvern, Arkansas, the daughter of Louis and Marrtis McCool Roberts. She received her education in Denver, Colorado. She moved to the Brooklyn area in 2004 to be closer to her family. Carolyn liked reading, growing plants, and eating M & M’s. She also loved animals. She especially enjoyed time spent with her family.
