Clarence "Butch" Richard White Jr. was born January 13, 1953, in Mauston, WI, the son of Clarence "Butch" Richard & Helen (Johnson) White Sr. He attended catholic school and was a 1971 graduate of Tomah High School, Tomah WI. He married Beverly Anderson in 1971, they later divorced. He grew up in Oakdale, WI and has lived in the Williamsburg community since 1973. On August 22, 1987, Butch married Karen Sue Hamberg at Trinity Lutheran Church, Conroy, Iowa. He held various positions at Centro, Inc., in North Liberty for over 20 years. Butch was a member of the Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, Whitetails Unlimited and the NRA. He was very involved in the Boy Scouts of America, where he held the title of Scout Master of the Williamsburg Troop 225 for 27 years, retiring in 2011. He always made sure his scouts knew the right road to take in life and to always have great respect for the flag. He loved the outdoors, whether it was camping at Sleepy Hollow, over looking Lake Iowa, with the "Sleepy Hollow Group", with his co workers or just out with his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, landscaping, collecting coins, babysitting his grandkids and just being with his family and friends. Butch died on Monday, February 20, 2012, at his home in Williamsburg from complications of cancer at the age of 59 years. He is survived by his wife Karen of Williamsburg: his children: Tammy White of Mesa, AZ, Stacy (Melissa) Levell of Buffalo, NY and Samantha (Jeremi) Lown of Webster; 9 grandchildren: Qaban White, Adriana Klott, Autumn, Brittany, Ryan , Savannah & Sierra Levell and Keyden & Kailor Lown; 2 great grandchildren: Ashton & Jaylynn; his father Butch White Sr. of Oakdale, WI; 2 brothers: Robert (Annie) White of Ladysmith, WI and Ronald (Julie) White of Camp Douglas, WI; a sister Cathy (John) Wells of NV; a sister-in-law Lois White of Tomah, WI; special friends Joe & Jesse Axmear and Justice Schmidt all of Bellvue, NE; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Helen and a brother Donald White. Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:30 AM on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg. Pastor Kirk Statler will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Williamsburg. Visitation will be on Friday, February 24, 2012 from 1-7 PM at the Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg. A general memorial fund has been established.
