Darlyne Fagen was born Tuesday, July 31, 1928 in Keota, Iowa the daughter of James and Bergie (Fry) Evans. She graduated from Keota High School. On February 28, 1948 she was united in marriage to Donald Fagen. She has lived her entire life in the Keota community where she was a homemaker. Darlyne was a member of the United Church of Faith and TTT. She enjoyed playing golf and spending time with her family. Darlyne died on Friday, January 7, 2005 at her home in rural Keota following a brief illness at the age of 76 years. Darlyne is survived by her husband Donald of Keota; 4 sons - Larry and wife Vicki; James and wife Tracy; David and wife Mary all of Keota; Darin and wife Kris of Urbandale; a daughter - Diana Myers and husband David of Manassas, Virginia; 12 grandchildren; 2 sisters - Dolores Harland of Davenport and Ora Rabourn of Butler, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter Winifred Ann; 3 sisters - Thelma Glallardo, Gertrude Peiffer, Louava Duncan; and a brother - James Evans.
A memorial fund has been established for the Keokuk County Hospice.
