Debbie Kaye Jones

Deep River-Debbie Kaye Jones was born January 2, 1961, in Marengo, Iowa, the daughter of David Bilsland, Rita Porter, Harold Emerson and Dixie Emerson. She graduated from Iowa Valley High School in 1979. She attended Hamilton Business College. Debbie was a manager at multiple locations throughout her life. Her most recent job was being a grandma, which she loved. She grew up in Marengo and lived in several places, including Amana, Lisbon, Arizona, and most recently made Deep River her home. Debbie enjoyed movies, BINGO, going on cruises, and most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Debbie died on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Compass Memorial Healthcare in Marengo, at the age of 65 years.

She is survived by her daughters, Rose Blount and Ashley (Tim) Grimm both of Victor; grandchildren, Nathan (Krisha) Price, Anabella Grimm and Victoria Grimm; great-grandchildren, Ezequiel, Emersyn- Eileen and Wayne; siblings, Doug (Janet) Emerson of Marengo, Dusty (Brenda) Emerson of Deep River, Diana (Tom) Buckley-Morris of Lakeland, FL, Tammy (John) Adkins of Montezuma, Scott (Maria) Kriegel and Stacy (Jim) Schultz both of Gibson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ken Kriegel.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Marengo. A private family graveside service will be held at the Marengo Cemetery.
