Williamsburg-Diana Lou Roberts was born August 1, 1946, in Belle Plaine, Iowa. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Gladys (Kalina) Jurgens. She graduated from Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids in 1964. Diana was united in marriage to Kenneth Dean Roberts on January 30, 1971, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. After their marriage, they lived in Williamsburg for a number of years before building a home in Conroy. They called Conroy home for 43 years, before returning to Williamsburg. Diana worked for Cedar Rapids Block Company for 17 years, Fashions Inn in Williamsburg, and served as the education director for St. Mary’s Church. Diana was an active volunteer and led the Hilton Willing Workers 4-H Club for more than 30 years. She also volunteered on the Iowa County Fair Board, serving as the family and consumer science superintendent and communication superintendent for many years, the Iowa 4-H Committee, and the Iowa County 4-H Foundation. Diana was inducted into the Iowa 4-H Foundation Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame in 2020. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Altar and Rosary Society. Diana enjoyed cross stitch, gardening, canning her summer harvest, and working outside.
Diana died Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at the Highland Ridge Care Center in Williamsburg at the age of 79 years.

She is survived by her three children: Tim (Cara) Roberts of Williamsburg, Kevin (Camilla) Roberts of Manhattan, Kansas, and Kay (Ricky) Wiseman of Williamsburg; five grandchildren: Austin (fiancé Amber Porter) Roberts, Andrew Roberts, Jacob (Ainsley Seekings) Barnes, Morgan Roberts, and Taylor Roberts; a sister-in-law, Mary Jurgens of Houston, Texas, and five nephews and three nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth in 2004, a brother, LaVern Jurgens, in-laws, Don and Donna Roberts and two nephews, Kenneth and Leon Jurgens.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, July 6, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Williamsburg. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. A rosary will be recited at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Iowa County 4-H or St. Mary’s Faith Formation Department. Messages and tributes may be directed to www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
