Donna Lee Gabeline, 76, of Yarmouth, IA, died Sunday, February 14, 2010, at her home. Visitation will begin after 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, at the Olson - Powell Memorial Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 Wednesday evening. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Roberts officiating. Interment will be in the Trinity Cemetery. Memorials have been established to the Yarmouth Fire Department and Hospice of Central Iowa. On line condolences may be directed to www.olsonpowell.com The daughter of F. Ewing and Emma K. King Dodds, Donna Lee was born on October 11, 1933, in Des Moines, IA. She was a 1951 graduate of Yarmouth High School. She married Robert Gabeline on December 15, 1951, at the Yarmouth Methodist Church. He survives. While her husband was in the service, Donna Lee was a secretary for McKesson and Robbins in Burlington, IA. Following his return, she devoted her time to her family as a homemaker and took care of the bookkeeping for Gabeline Trucking and the family farm. A member of the Yarmouth Methodist Church all of her married life, Donna Lee taught Sunday school. She enjoyed being a member of the Neighborhood Club. Donna Lee liked to collect dolls and miniature pianos. She also played the piano by ear. Along with her husband, Bob, Donna Lee is survived by one daughter Teri (Jeff) Wilkerson of Morning Sun, IA, and three sons, Mike Gabeline of Yarmouth, IA, David (Diane) Gabeline of Danville, IA, and Dan (Amy) Gabeline of Yarmouth, IA. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Gabeline was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Morton Dodds.
