Williamsburg- E. Jane Jones was born February 20, 1951, in Keokuk, Iowa , the daughter of Owen and Juanita (Pritchard) Jones. She graduated from Williamsburg High School. Jane worked at the Amana Factory in the cafeteria and filled the pop machines around the factory; in 2002 she started at the Williamsburg Foods deli until she retired in 2016. She enjoyed attending the Iowa County Fair, the Iowa State Fair, parades, fireworks, helping with chores around the farm, spending time with family and most of all her cat Snow Bunny Jones. Jane enjoyed having Barb come down for morning coffee and a visit from Missy Mae the dog. Jane never met a stranger, just someone she never had a conversation with yet. Jane passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at her home in rural Williamsburg, at the age of 75 years.
She is survived by her siblings; Don (Sharon) Jones, Richard Jones, Roger (Dianne) Jones, Larry (Kris) Jones all of Williamsburg, Kenny Jones of Parnell, Russell (Joan) Jones and Barb (Kevin) Carte all of Williamsburg, several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law Deb Jones.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 29, 2026, at the First Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg. The family request that you wear lavender or pink. Rev. Dan Jessop will be officiating. Burial will be at the Pilot Grove Cemetery in rural Williamsburg. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the First Presbyterian Church. A memorial fund has been established for the Iowa County Fair or the First Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg. Messages may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
