Eileen D. Fritz

Amana-Eileen Dolores Fritz was born October 11, 1935, in Marengo, Iowa, the daughter of Herman and Hazel (Rush) Gorsch. She attended rural school. Eileen enjoyed playing cards, puzzle books, caring for her pets, feeding the birds and canning from her garden. Eileen died Friday, August 14, 2026, at Colonial Manor in Amana at the age of 90 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Jan (Steve) Graesser of Amana and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Theodore; two children, Peggy A. Fritz and Robert Fritz, and three brothers, Dale, Lloyd and Orlen Gorsch.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at the Powell Funeral Home in Marengo. Burial will be at Marengo Cemetery.
