Elwin Glen Gingerich

Kalona- Elwin Glen Gingerich was born on November 26, 1960 to Emery and Emma (Mast) Gingerich. He was united in marriage to Linda (Hershberger) Gingerich on June 27, 1985. He was a faithful member of the Old Order Amish Church until his death.
Elwin passed away suddenly at his home from an apparent heart attack on Saturday, October 23, 2021.
Elwin is survived by his wife Linda and 5 children. Kevin of Crofton, KY, Kirsten of Kalona, Kimberly and husband Timothy Beachy of Kalona, Kenneth and special friend Rhonda Ropp of Crofton, KY, and Keith at home. Father-in-law Isaac Hershberger of Riverside. 4 siblings, Ellen (Charles) Miller, Evan (Ethel) Gingerich, Elysa (Perry) Hershberger all of Kalona. Elizabeth (Lester) Yoder of Sugar Creek, OH. And numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his Mother-in-law, Mary Edna (Yoder) Hershberger, 4 aunts, 2 uncles, and 3 nephews, LaWayne Lloyd Ropp, Sanford Emery Yoder and Samuel Elijah Borntrager.

A Funeral Service will be held 9:30 am Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the Elwin Gingerich residence 2292 Johnson Washington Rd SW, Kalona, IA. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 pm and Tuesday from 10:00 am to 8:00 am. Burial will be in the Peter Miller Cemetery. Yoder-Powell Funeral Home is caring for Elwin and his family.
