Eva Jean Butler was born November 4, 1926 in Kewanee, Illinois the daughter of Harold and Luella (Losey) Butler. She attended school in Kewanee. Jean did furniture repair work for many years. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Kewanee. Jean moved to the Pleasantview Home in Kalona in February of 2008. Jean died on Monday, March 9, 2009 at the Pleasantview Home following a lengthy illness at the age of 82 years. Jean is survived by a niece Julie Lang of Riverside and a nephew Stephen Lang of Riverside. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings. There will be no services. Burial will be at a later date in the Pleasantview Cemetery in Kewanee, Illinois. The Yoder-Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service is in charge of the arrangements.
