Fern E. Yoder

Wellman- Fern E. Yoder the daughter of Lawrence and Verna (Beckler) Kuhns, was born November 5, 1938 in Wood River, NE. She graduated from Wellman High School in 1957. Fern was united in marriage to Donald Yoder on July 3, 1958 in Wellman. They lived in the Wellman area. Fern worked for Oral-B for 33 years. She enjoyed sewing blankets, crocheting, golfing, bowling, the Hawkeyes, Cubs, and family time. Fern passed away Saturday January 15, 2022 at the Keota Health Care Center at the age of 83.

Fern is survived by five children, Deanne Smith, Debra (Paul) Bender, Kevin D. (Charlotte) Yoder , Kurt Yoder all of Wellman and Kim (Jenny) Yoder of Ainsworth; 17 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Shirley) Kuhns of Wellman, two sisters; Erma (Farrell) Statler of Hills, Shirley Patterson of Wellman and brother-in-law Jack Seward of Wellman. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Juanita Seward and granddaughter Kimberly Yoder.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the Wellman Fire Station. A Memorial fund has been established for Wellman Ambulance, Wellman Fire Dept. and Hospice of Washington County. Powell Funeral Home Wellman is caring for Fern and her Family.
