Gilbert Perez

Gilbert Perez, age 62, of Marengo, passed away in his home on October 30, 2018. Friends may gather to celebrate Gilbert’s life from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. Memorials may be directed to the Gilbert Perez memorial fund in care of Kloster Funeral Home, 298 W. Washington St., Marengo, Iowa, 52301.

Gilbert is survived by his extended family and many friends. He is preceded in death by his father Gustavo Perez and a brother .

Gilbert was born March 8, 1956, in Havana, Cuba, the son of Gustavo and Nilda Estela Perez. He was employed at McDonalds for 11 years, in Coralville, and also worked faithfully as an Iowa County translator for many years.
