Joe Jr. Miller

Kalona- Joe Jr. Miller was born, Nov. 1, 1931, son of Ezra and Edna (Miller) Miller in Kalona, Iowa.
He accepted Christ as his savior and remained faithful until his death. He was united in marriage to Erma Amanda Yoder on Oct. 23, 1952. He passed away peacefully at home on December 11, 2023.

Surviving are his six children, Edith Miller of Kalona, daughter-in-law Celesta Miller of Crofton, KY, Lloyd Miller (Arlene) of Riverside, Minerva Jane Miller at home, Mildred Yoder (Enos) of Guthrie, KY, Clara Yoder (Jesse) of Dannebrog, NE, Eldora Yoder (Philip) of Kalona. Also surviving are 45 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 1 brother Mark (Dora) Miller, 1 sister Ida Miller and 1 sister-in-law Susie Miller passed away shortly after Joe on Monday Evening.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Erma on June 14, 2013, 4 brothers Mahlon, Edward, Chester and Herman. 2 sisters Catherine and Barbara, 1 son Harold and 1 son-in-law Marlin, 1 grandson Kevin, 2 great - grandchildren Angela Miller and Matthew Mullett.

A Funeral Service will be held 9:30am Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Philip H. Yoder Residence. Visitation days and hours are to follow Tuesday, December 12 starting at 2:00 pm, then Wednesday, December 13, 2023, starting at 8:00am then going all day. Yoder-Powell Funeral Home is caring for Joe Jr. and his family.
