Williamsburg-John Henry Eash was born May 28, 1926, in LaGrange, Indiana. He was the son of Noah and Katie (Yoder) Eash. John was married to Betty Steele in Washington, Iowa. To this union they were blessed with three children: Bonnie, Keith and Kevin. They later divorced. John was later united in marriage to Patricia Rice on June 20, 1987 in Ottumwa, Iowa. John owned and operated Eash Feed and Supply in South English for more than 20 years. He later worked at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and Kinze Manufacturing in Williamsburg. John earned his pilot's license in his spare time. John enjoyed working with his hands in woodworking, welding, construction and arts and crafts. John died Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Highland Ridge Care Center at the age of 99 years.
He is survived by his three children: Bonnie Pospisil of Cedar Rapids, Keith Eash of Illinois and Kevin (Kristy) Eash of Council Bluffs; three grandchildren: Jason (April) Pospisil, Julie Lichte and David Eash; 7 great grandchildren and a sister Katie Miller of LaGrange, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Darrell Eash and a son-in-law Don Pospisil.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. Visitation will be from 10 until service time. Burial will be at the Keota Cemetery. Messages and tributes may be directed to www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
