Judith Ann Sauter

Deep River-Judith Ann Sauter was born September 15, 1939 in Williamsburg, Iowa, the daughter of Leland L. & Elizabeth Ann (Shannahan) Stake. She graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1958. On June 18, 1960 Judy was united in marriage to Michael Sauter at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Williamsburg. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in North English, the Altar & Rosary society and the Millersburg Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed taking care of her flowers, gardening, crocheting, knitting, playing piano, Christmas and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Judy died on Monday, January 10, 2022 at the Highland Ridge Care Center, at the age of 82 years.

She is survived by her husband Mick of Deep River; two daughters Kristine (Dan) Burck of North English and Deborah Grimm of Rolfe; four grandchildren Alex (Kerry) Grimm, Aaron (Tonya) Grimm all of Williamsburg, Miranda (Scott) Ballard of Ladora and Spencer Burck of Fulton, MO; and seven great grandchildren Regan & Makayla Grimm, Kaley, Brooklyn & Leland Grimm and Tyler & Travis Ballard. She was preceded by her parents and a great granddaughter Abigail Grace Grimm.

Funeral Mass will be 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in North English. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11:00 am until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Essence Of Life Hospice, Meals on Wheels or the Alzheimer's Association. Powell Funeral Home in North English is caring for Judy and her family.
