Kenneth McMillan, Jr., age 81 passed away, Friday, July 13, 2018 at the English Valley Care Center, North English, Iowa.

The family will receive friends from 9 A.M. until 11:00 on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church, Williamsburg. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Dan Jessop officiating. Burial will be in Pilot Grove Cemetery, Williamsburg. A memorial fund has been established.

Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ken is survived by his wife Thelma; his children, Angela Durkee (John Marich) of Mount Auburn, Anthony (Bonnie) McMillan of Iowa City, Matthew McMillan of Summerville, NC , Timothy (Connie) McMillan of Parnell, and Mitch (Dawn) McMillan of Williamsburg; 3 stepsons, Doug Burkle, Eric (Shirlean) Burkle and Jeffrey (Kristeen) Burkle, all of Cedar Rapids; seventeen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are step brothers, Albert (Lois) Ray of Morilton, AR, Robert (Carol) Ray of Nema, AR, Carroll (Shirley) Ray of Gilcrest, CO, and a special sister-in-law, Marjory Ray of Nixa, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Cynthia Heims, a sister Mary Dell Stice and a stepbrother Donald Ray.

Kenneth was born June 28, 1937 in rural Sigourney, Iowa, the son of Kenneth Felix McMillan and Lois Fern Van Orsdal McMillan. He attended country schools and graduated from Ollie High School. Ken proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard.

He and Thelma Tuck were married November 18, 1988 at the First Presbyterian Church, Williamsburg. The couple made their home in Williamsburg.

Ken was employed with Amana Refrigeration for 42 years. He was a 50 year member of the Machinists Union and actively participated at the local, state, and national functions. He enjoyed antique tractors, gardening, hobby farming and building toys for his children. In earlier years he was involved with the Boy Scouts as a scout master. He also raised show rabbits. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg.
