Leo David Yoder

Kalona- L. David Yoder was born October 30, 1924, the son of Frank D. and Elva (Kauffman) Yoder. He attended East Lincoln School. L. David was an Architect his whole life. On September 6, 1951 he was united in marriage to Leona Fern Brenneman. L. David was a member of the East Union Mennonite Church, Kalona Building Committee, Washington County Foster - Care Review Board for 15 years, he taught Sunday School for 37 years and enjoyed gardening. L. David passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Pleasantview Home in Kalona at the age of 90 years.

L. David Yoder is survived by a daughter-in-law: Suzanne Yoder of Johns Creek, GA; a granddaughter: Katherine Yoder of John Creek, GA; a brother: Daniel E. Yoder of Kalona and a sister-in-law: Susie Hochstetler of Kalona, IA. and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Leona in 2013, a son Leon in 2014, a sister Mary and 2 brothers; Delmar and one in infancy.

Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Pleasantview Home Chapel in Kalona. A Graveside Service will be 9:30 AM Wednesday at East Union Cemetery rural Kalona. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 6, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona.
