Linda Arlene Wooldridge

Linda Arlene Wooldridge was born March 15, 1941 in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Howard and Mary (McVey) Dufoe. She graduated from Center Point High School and the University of Iowa with a degree in Dietetics. She served in the United States Army from 1964-1967. Linda was married to Wesley Wooldridge in 1966, they divorced in 1983. Linda had lived in Iowa City from 1983-1990 and enjoyed working as a dietitian at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and as a consultant for nursing homes in the Des Moines area from 1990-1995. Linda has lived in the Kalona community since 1996 and worked at the Pleasantview Home until 2008 as Food Service Directory/Dietician. Linda was a member of the East Union Mennonite Church, WMSC, and the Lioness Club. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, time with friends/family, traveling, and most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren. Linda died on Monday, November 9, 2015 at the Pleasantview Home in Kalona at the age of 74 years.
Linda is survived by her ex husband Wesley of Ruskin, Florida; three children; Lori (Lyle) Miller of Wellman, Julie (Michael) Devlin of Mount Sinai, New York, Mark Wooldridge of Kalona; seven grandchildren; Kylie, Cody and Kaycee Miller; Zachary, Hallie, Carlie, and Matthew Devlin; and two brothers; Gene (Loretta) Dufoe of Mesa, Arizona, and Don Dufoe of Center Point. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law Shirlee Dufoe.


Visitation will be held from 3-7 PM on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, November 13, 2015 at the East Union Mennonite Church in rural Kalona. Pastor Joel Beachy and Pastor Firman Gingerich will officiate. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Center Point Cemetery in Center Point. A memorial fund has been established for the Pleasantview Home.
