Linda Lee

North English- Linda Lee Reed Lee, 82, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. She was born in North English on May 27, 1943, the daughter of Glenn (Tunney) and Pauline Jordan Reed.

Linda graduated from English Valleys High School in 1961. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from William Penn University and her Master of Arts degree from the University of Northern Iowa. She was a retired Sigourney Elementary school teacher.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Brant Andreassen, and grandchildren Grace, Cooper and Whit.

Linda is also survived by her sisters Phyllis Shoemaker and Kay Reed, and a brother John and his wife Jeannie Reed, all of Springfield, Missouri. Also surviving are a nephew Brian Shoemaker, nieces Nicole Reed, Lindsay Reed, Elizabeth Kevil, and their families.

Linda’s parents, Glenn and Pauline Reed, and her brother-in-law, Gary Shoemaker, preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be held at the North English Christian Church at 10:30 am on Friday, June 6, 2025. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 6:00 pm on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the Powell Funeral Home in North English.

Linda requested no flowers. A memorial fund has been established in her name. It will be used to benefit the students and families of the English Valleys communities.
