Lowell Lee McFadden was born August 19, 1927 in Prairie City, Iowa the son of George and Pearl (Henderson) Mc Fadden. He graduated from Prairie City High School. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. Lowell owned and operated Mc Fadden Insurance Agency in Wellman for 18 years. On May 7, 1983 he was united in marriage to Yvonne Stanley. They lived in Wellman until moving to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1987. In 1988 they opened Mc Fadden Antiques. Lowell was a member of the Methodist Church, Rotary, served on the Wellman Volunteer Fire Department, and helped establish Parkview Manor. He loved to travel, and enjoyed a good round of golf. Lowell died on Sunday, May 8, 2005 at the Health Care Center at Friendship Village in Tempe, Arizona following a long illness at the age of 77 years. Lowell is survived by his wife Yvonne of Scottsdale, Arizona; 6 children - Mike Mc Fadden of Peoria, Arizona; Robert Mc Fadden of Columbus Junction; Jerrie Carducci of Auburn, Washington; Steve Wertz of Kalona; Sharon Grant of Phoenix, Arizona; Lisa Zaragoza of Nampa, Idaho; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and a brother - Ray Mc Fadden of San Luis Obispo, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother - John Mc fadden.
A Memorial Fund has been established for the Wellman Volunteer Fire Department.
