Luann Jenkins

January 21, 1962 — May 16, 2023

Wellman- Luann Renee Kasper Jenkins was born January 21, 1962, in Des Moines Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Georgia (Morrissey) Kasper. Luann graduated from Newton Senior High School. In recent years Luann worked at A.C.T. in the Accommodations department.
Luann's love for her grandchildren was abundant. She loved gardening, canning, board games, puzzles and tie dying. Afternoons at the pool and softball games were her delight. Luann lived life big, and her laugh was contagious. She loved to listen to Willie Nelson. There was never any doubt of where Luann stood on any given subject. She will be missed.
Luann passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, surrounded by family, after an extremely courageous battle with cancer.
Luann is survived by two children, Tessa Burns of Wellman and Chance Burns of Kalona; 5 grandchildren, Ruby, Quinten, Henry, Kastiella, and Kamaya and a sister, Paula (Jim) Lundahl of Iowa City. She is preceded in death by her parents.
