KESWICK-Lynn Fisher, age 78, of rural Keswick, died Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the English Valley Care Center in North English.
Lynn was born June 24, 1947, in Sigourney, the son of Elvin “Bub” and Dorothy (Vogel) Fisher. He graduated from Tri-County High School in 1965 and served in the Iowa National Guard from 1965 until 1971. On June 1, 1968, he married Sue Strong at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Keswick. A lifelong Keswick resident, Lynn farmed in the Keswick area all his life. He was a member of the James Murphy American Legion Post #319 in Keswick, where he enjoyed being involved with their activities. Lynn also enjoyed camping at the Iowa State Fair, attending livestock and machinery auctions, participating in tractor rides and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife: Sue of Keswick; two sons: Matt (Dara) Fisher of Keswick and Mark (Renee) Fisher of Wellman; seven grandchildren: Hannah Miover, Emma Roush, Bridget Fisher, Tessa Fisher, Brock Fisher, Drew Fisher and Brendan Fisher and his dogs: Jack and Molly. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Powell Funeral Home in Sigourney, with Kurt Slouha officiating. Burial will be at Sorden Cemetery near Keswick. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the funeral home.
