Marilyn "Joyce" Watts

Marengo-Marilyn “Joyce” Watts was born June 16, 1931, in Marengo, Iowa, the daughter of Mark and Catherine (Hollis) Leib. She graduated from Marengo High School in 1949. Joyce was united in marriage to Harold “Louie” Watts on March 17, 1951 in Cedar Rapids. Joyce was a Secretary for the University of Iowa College of Public Health. Joyce enjoyed visiting with friends. She was a member of the Marengo American Legion Auxiliary and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Joyce died Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo, at the age of 95 years.

She is survived by her three children; 3 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Edward Leib.
