Mark Alan Imhoff

January 30, 1961 — November 14, 2025

Bondurant

Mark Alan Imhoff of Bondurant and formerly of Williamsburg was called home to be with his Savior on November 14, 2025.

Mark was born January 30, 1961, in Marengo, Iowa, the son of Orlen and Lora (Doehrmann) Imhoff. He was baptized on February 26, 1961 and confirmed on March 23, 1975, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. He graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1979. On June 21, 1986, he married Gloria Ann Pohlman, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Keystone. Mark was a life-long resident of Williamsburg. After high school, he studied Electronics Engineering Technology at Missouri Institute of Technology and completed his apprenticeship in 1981. He then worked alongside his father, who founded Imhoff Wiring Service in 1968, until Mark took over as Imhoff Electric in 1988. He provided quality craftsmanship around Iowa County as a Master electrician until his retirement in July 2025. He could do it all – residential, commercial, and his niche was in the agricultural sector wiring and troubleshooting large grain storage and drying facilities. He instructed multiple apprentices during his career and was invested in the next generation. Mark was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where he served on various boards and committees until 2024. Since then, their church home has been Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Urbandale. Mark and Gloria downsized over the summer and moved to their home in Bondurant in September 2025 to spend their retirement close to their family and grandchildren. Mark enjoyed fishing (no matter the temperature), hunting, playing cards with friends, and was a big Cyclone fan. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather (“Papa”). He enjoyed helping his family with projects around their homes and properties, bringing their visions to life. His greatest joy in life was being with his grandkids.

Mark is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 39 years, Gloria; his daughters, Kathryn (Matt) Lundquist and Rebecca (Tyson) Lamb, all of Bondurant, and 4 grandchildren: Reece & Blair Lundquist and Easton & Lainey Lamb. He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, Delmar and Lenore Pohlman, and 2 sisters, Judy Gjerde and Jane Imhoff.

A private Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Urbandale. Pastor Ben Johnson will officiate. Committal will be at a later date at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Williamsburg. A memorial fund has been established at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Gifts may be mailed or given online at www.gdlc.church/give under the “Other” Fund (include Mark’s name in the Notes section). Messages and tributes may be left at hamiltonsfuneralhome.com and powellfuneralhomes.com under obituaries.
