Mary Jo Gregory

Williamsburg-Mary Jo Gregory was born December 22, 1952 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Charles and Edna Mae (Doyle) Jones. Mary Jo was united in marriage to Gary Dennis Gregory on August 29, 1975 in Shelby, Ohio. Mary Jo was a Bookkeeper for Di-Ela Photo in Mansfield, Ohio. She and Gary also operated Paws and Tails Rescue in Shelby, Ohio. They moved to Williamsburg, Iowa in 2008.

Mary Jo loved making things! She especially enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and inventing her own solutions to life's everyday challenges. The latter of which generally required lots of velcro and an assortment of items from her "I might need that later," collection. Dogs have always been her passion! When she was younger she enjoyed training and showing her dogs, in recent years she was happiest at home with them by her side. Mary Jo died peacefully on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City at the age of 72 years.

She is survived by her children, Anna (Byron) Miller, Laura (Augie) Sinn, DJ (Jami) Gregory and Colton Hench; 10 grandchildren, Haley Gregory, Quentin Powers, Romney Gregory, Brayden Gregory, Vince Gregory, Elizabeth Hughes, Cam Gregory, Aubrey Sinn, Chase Sinn and Sydney Gregory; and a great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Charles, sister Charlene (Paul) Holeda, and great-grandson Harley Gregory.
