Meghan Goodwin

Meghan Leann Goodwin was born on April 12, 1983 in Iowa City to Mike and Debbie Goodwin of Hedrick, Iowa. She was a 2001 graduate of Pekin Community High School in Packwood, Iowa, a 2005 Graduate of Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a certification in Digital Marketing, Digital Communications and Multimedia from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Meghan spent the last 18 years at Newbury Management where she started as a Property Manager and rose to be the Director of Technology.

Meghan was a force to be reckoned with. She was intelligent, hard working, stubborn, loyal, charismatic, kind but brutally honest. She gave the best advice, had the quickest wit and never met a challenge she couldn’t tackle. She had a deep love and appreciation for art, specifically for architecture. There wasn’t a John Grisham book she didn’t enjoy and one of her favorite things to do each morning was to crack a two day chilled, fresh Diet Coke.

She is survived by her parents, Mike and Nadine Goodwin of Hampton, Iowa, her favorite little sister, Meredith Goodwin of Waukee, IA, her Siamese cat Bailey and the Great 8. She is preceded in death by her mom, Debbie Goodwin, her brother Mathew, her surrogate little brother Martin Durflinger(who she lovingly called Worm), her cousin Angela and her beloved Siamese cat Hershey.

Services will be held at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman, IA at 1pm on Thursday September 25, 2025 with the visitation immediately preceding the service from 11am to 1pm with the family present.
