Michael L. McCammant

Ladora- Michael L. McCammant was born May 16, 1956, in Belle Plaine, the son of Albert and Charlotte (Rupp) McCammant. Mike graduated from Deep- River Millersburg Highschool. He then entered into the United States Army on December 9, 1976, and was honorably discharged on September 7, 1979. Mike was united in marriage to Brenda Lee Dietze on February 12, 1979, in Williamsburg. He worked as a factory worker, drove trucks for STS Trucking, worked as a farm hand and mowed for Iowa County Conservation at Iowa Lake. Mike was a volunteer firefighter for Ladora Fire Department for 30 years. Michael passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at his home in Ladora at the age of 69.

He is survived by his children; Carrie Engelbart of Victor, Jodi McCammant of Marengo, Laura McCammant of Ladora and Seth McCammant of Marengo; his grandchildren Katrina, Keagen, Jayla and Nora. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and daughter Melissa.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 am, Monday, December 8, 2025, at the American Legion in Marengo, A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 am at the Ladora Cemetery.
