Williamsburg — Pamela Ann Fetzer, age 76, passed away Friday, May 1, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Pamela was born January 18, 1950, in Bishops Stortford, England, the daughter of Alfred Ernest and Anne Rose (Chapman) Belcher. During her childhood, she lived in several locations, including two extended stays in Hong Kong, as her father served in the Royal Engineers of the British Army. Her family later settled in Bedford, England, where she completed her education. Pam met her husband, Bill Fetzer, while he was stationed in England with the United States Air Force. The couple was united in marriage on July 17, 1971, in Great Dunmow, Essex, England, in a historic 500-year-old church. Following their marriage, they made their home in Iowa. Pam began her career with the Johnson County Attorney’s Office before joining the Claypool Law Office in Williamsburg, where she worked for 33 years until her retirement. Pam enjoyed a life filled with reading, walking, swimming, and spending time with friends and family. Above all, she cherished her grandchildren and the moments they shared.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill, and two sons; Ross (Amber Decker) Fetzer of Williamsburg and their daughter, Cassidy Panther, and Blair (Andrea) Fetzer of Fort Collins, Colorado and their children, Brennan, Luke, and Hannah, along with numerous extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Peter.
