Pamela K. Winegarden, age 57,of South English died following a lengthy illness on Saturday, June 12, 2004, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at Powell Funeral Home in North English. The Rev. Richard Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in the Sorden Cemetery near Webster. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, June 14th from 5 PM to 8 PM. A memorial fund has been established for the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center in Iowa City. Winegarden was born in Sigourney, IA on January 26, 1947, a daughter of Ellis & Mildred Tinnes Pfannebecker. She attended school in Sigourney a short time and then graduated from West Miami High School in Miami, Fl. She was united in marriage to Gary Jack Winegarden on March 8, 1971, at the United Methodist Church in Keswick, IA. They lived a short time in Webster, IA, and have lived in South English the past 30 years. Pamela enjoyed gardening and spoiling her grandchildren. She did secretarial work in the agricultural business, working 18 years for Dave Hillman. The past few years Pamela worked for Winegarden Trucking. Pamela is survived by her husband Gary Jack Winegarden of South English, IA; a son Jeffrey Oxford (Joyce) of Webster, IA; Damon Winegarden (Kristina) of South English, IA; a daughter Shannon Rotter (Ryan) of Williamsburg, IA; 13 grandchildren; a sister, Linda Vittetoe of Tampa, Fl; brothers, Larry Becker of Miami, FL; Mike Pfannebecker of Rose Hill, IA; Rick Pfannebecker of North English, IA; Wally Gilliland of North English, IA an aunt, Hazel Crews of Dover, FL and an uncle Dwight Pfannebecker of Martinsburg. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Kathy Eckley.
