Patricia Anne Evans, was born July 6, 1931, in Nashua, Iowa the daughter of Gurdon Curry and Margaret Alice (Troutner) Chandler. They lived in Nashua when she was little then to Williamsburg. She graduated from Williamsburg High School and went on to receive her teaching certificate. She taught country school for 1 year, and was the bookkeeper for Evans Sales, Co. She married Carl D. Evans on April 22, 1950 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa. She was a former member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Williamsburg. She enjoyed playing duplicate bridge and going to tournaments, bowling and golfing. Patricia died on Friday, June 17, 2011, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City at the age of 79 years. She is survived by her husband Carl of Williamsburg; a daughter Nancy (Richard) Bohrn of Iowa City; 3 sons: Richard (Julie) Evans, Robert Evans all of Williamsburg, and Paul (Amy) Evans of Austin, Texas; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a sister Lorelee Brown of Fairfield, Iowa and a brother Robert Chandler of Marshalltown, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Peggy Griffis, a son Steve Evans and a grandson Calvin Evans. Family services will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg. Rev. Craig Brown will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday, from 6-8 PM at the Powell Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Williamsburg. A memorial fund has been established for the Mercy Hospice Care Unit or Iowa City Hospice.
