Ralph David Tiernan

Ralph David Tiernan was born July 10, 1958 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Richard Tiernan and May Pedersen.  He graduated from Williamsburg High School.  
Ralph was united in marriage to Cathy Brust on August 12, 1977, in Anchorage, Alaska. He was a devoted over the road truck driver.    He enjoyed going to the beach and spending time at home.

Ralph died Saturday, April 2, 2022 in Gainesville, Florida at the age of 63 years.

He is survived by two sons, Nathan (Kelly) Tiernan and David Tiernan all of Cedar Rapids; 4 
grandchildren Zachary (Selena), Miles, Wiatt and Olivia Tiernan and a great grandchild on the way; mother, May Kruse of Williamsburg; five siblings, Mary (Paul) Morris of Salt Lake City, Utah, and their children, Theresa, Mason, Alexis and Palmer;  Jean (Charles) Finnegan of Oxford and their children, Julie, Seth and Nicole; Clarence (C.J.) Kruse of Victor and his children, Jordon, Caannan, TY and Donvan;  Charlie Kruse of Parnell and his children, Christopher, Kyle, Ashley and Quinton  and Jason Kruse of South Amana, and his children Gavin and Vayanna; and many great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Richard,  wife Kathy, a brother, Donald Kruse and a sister, Joyce (Richard) Hagen and a nephew Jacoby.

Celebration of Life Gathering will be Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Parnell Hall in Parnell from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
