Marengo- Robert J. Wiebold was February 20, 1932 in near Williamsburg, Iowa, the son of Arnold and Esther Johanna ( Schwarting) Wiebold. He attended Hilton Consolidated School in Conroy. Robert was united in marriage to Jeanette H. Stumpff on December 26, 1953 in Conroy. He was a life long farmer and truck driver. Robert and Jeanette enjoyed driving around the countryside check on crops and collecting toy tractors. Robert died Saturday October 16, 2010 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City at the age of 78 years. Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Williamsburg. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Yankee Point Cemetery with military rites. Memorials are for Yankee Point Cemetery or family choice. Robert is survived by his wife Jeanette of Marengo; two sons: David (Deb) Wiebold and Duane (Margie) Wiebold all of Parnell; a daughter: Debbie (Denny) Whitaker of Grinnell; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and a brother: Dick (Evelyn) Wiebold of Conroy. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Joshua in 1990, son Dennis in 1997 and 2 brothers: Ralph and Earl.
