Robert Paul Seeber finished fixing things on this earth on Sunday, March 10th, 2024, to join Jesus in heaven where everything is perfect.
Robert Paul Seeber, son of George Paul and Margaret (Pfannebecker) Seeber was born on December 23, 1937, in Sigourney, Iowa. Robert attended Lancaster Country School through the 8th grade and had great memories of running up the crooked tree playing “Annie Over” with the schoolhouse. Today, it is the only 2-story country school left west of the Mississippi. He graduated from Sigourney High school with the class of 1956.
On June 29, 1963, he married Margaret Mumm of Webster. To this union one son, Paul Robert of Hudson, was born. He was employed by Amana Refrigeration for 42 years. Side jobs included constructing Behlen grain bins as well as repairing the local dealer’s appliances. He was a ‘tinkerer’ – building a ‘dead horse’, outside fountain, and a cat feeder. There were other things of equal fascination but lower importance. His greatest accomplishment was to fix things.
Robert was a servant. He served in the military reserves. He was also an active member at Lancaster Christian church including board member, member of the choir, and served on the building committee when the old church burned down. Of course, he would always be there to help fix things.
His only sibling – Donna Chenet of New Sharon – passed away February 20, 2024.
He is survived by wife Margaret and son Paul (Melissa).
