Roger Alan Roggentine was born January 10, 1953 in Belle Plaine, Iowa, the son of Donald L. Roggentine and Alice I. Misel Roggentine. He spent his early years in rural Marengo, graduating from Amana High School in 1971. Roger drove the school bus after graduation, then went on to work with various businesses in and near the Amanas. He was employed at Kinze Manufacturing for 35 years, retiring from there.
Rocky was a proud member of the Homestead Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed deer hunting, and working on Minneapolis Moline tractors. He loved driving around the Amanas checking up on everybody. But the grandchildren were the ones to bring a big smile to his face. He loved spending time with them, as well as his children, friends, and other family members.
