Ronald Gene Faidley

Ronald Gene Faidley, age 82, of Brooklyn, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021, at his home. A public visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m., Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn. Memorials may be sent to the family, Jean Faidley, P.O. Box 277, Brooklyn, Iowa 52211. Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ronald is survived by his wife Jean, of Brooklyn; his children Ronnie, of Brooklyn, Jackie (Alex) Snyder, of Belle Plaine and Chad (Kathy Joynt), of Huxley; two grandchildren, Zachary Snyder, of Iowa City and Corbin Faidley, of Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Phyllis Faidley, of Colfax, Linda (Cal) Beem, of Nevada and Shirley Smith, DeQueen, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Dale.

Ronald Faidley was born August 29, 1938, in Prairie City, the son of Darrell and Ruth (Phearman) Faidley. He was united in marriage to Jeanne Thompson on December 22, 1962 in Monroe. Ronald was employed by Donaldsons in Grinnell for 38 years and was also a farmhand for 42 years. He enjoyed gardening, Nascar, deer hunting and fishing.
